Research Collaboration

The Department has collaborative research and training program with the University of Bergen, Norway, Norwegian Research Council (NUFU); University of Zurich, Switzerland as part of Swiss National Center for Competence in Research (NCCR), North-South. It has also collaborative academic link with Public-Private Partnership Programme for Urban Environment (PPPUE/NEP/UNDP), ITC, the Netherlands, Laboratory of Geoecology, Hokkaido University, Japan, Department of Ecohydrology, University of Braunschweig, Germany, School of Development Studies, University of East Anglia, U.K.; and Local Governance Programme (LGP) for the Preparation of Digital Data base of the Topographical Maps of Nepal and Participatory District Development Programme (PDDP) of the UNDP, National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET) is to pool information, expertise and human resources to effective earthquake risk management in Nepal.

The department looks forward to fruitful research and teaching collaboration with national and international organizations/ institutions.
