CDG_GISRS Training Report

Besides its regular GIS/RS program of teaching and research, the offers three categories of GIS/RS training to interested clients.for the professionals & graduate students.

Model I: five weeks training for professionals: This training is generally organized twice (January & June) in a year. Since 1994, the department has completed more than twenty such trainings on application of GIS for Natural Resource Management and for infrastructure planning and Development. More than 300 professionals from various GOs, NGOs and INGOs have been trained.

Model II: Special GIS Training with three to five weeks – occurs on request of different institutions.

Model III: Training to the Graduate Students of other Departments of TU. This is basic training course to the GIS/ RS beginners. It primarily focuses on concepts, basic skills and application of GIS in the different fields of their requirements.
